Our Story
Made for Drummers. By a Drummer.
Drummer Butter was born out of frustration. As a full-time drummer, my hands were constantly beat up—dry, cracked, sore—and nothing out there actually helped. Everything was either too greasy to use before a set or full of ingredients I didn’t trust.
So I made my own.
Built From the Ground Up
I started with what worked and stripped out everything that didn’t. Natural ingredients like beef tallow, beeswax, and honey gave it the feel I needed: deeply nourishing, fast-absorbing, and grippy enough to play right away.
After dozens of test batches—formulas made in my kitchen, tested on the job, refined with every gig—I landed on what is now Drummer Butter. It’s small-batch, handmade, and built for the way we actually play.
For All Drummers
Drummer Butter is for anyone who drums a lot—whether you’re in a high school line, gigging on weekends, marching corps, or grinding in the practice room. If your hands are putting in work, this was made for you.
We tested it at WGI World Championships, and the feedback was real: no greasy feel, natural grip, and hands that felt ready to play. It held up through doubles, outdoor shows, and seven-day workweeks—so I know it can hold up for you, too.
What It Does
This isn’t just a moisturizer. It’s a recovery tool you can use before or after playing. It hydrates dry, overworked hands, supports recovery overnight, and still gives you a natural, non-slippery feel in the moment.
Key ingredients:
- Tallow – Deeply nourishing, mimics your skin’s natural oils
- Beeswax – Locks in moisture with a breathable layer that protects your hands
- Honey – Adds natural feeling tackiness so you can play right away
What We Stand For
Drummer Butter is about more than soft hands. It’s about community.
Drummers have always had each other’s backs—and I wanted to build something that honors that. Every batch is handmade with intention and tested by drummers who play hard. No mass production. No corporate fluff. Just a product that works.
Where We’re Going
Right now, we’re focused on doing one thing well. We’ve got ideas for the future, but no rush. The real partnerships are with the drummers using it—sharing it, posting, showing up day after day. Whether this brand grows big or stays close-knit, it’ll stay grounded in that mission.
A Note From Me
If you’re here, thank you. This isn’t a miracle product—but it is one thing we can all rally around, and I know it can help us drummers. It’s a simple tool made to help you keep doing what you love. Use it. Share it. And keep playing.
